I got to know Johnny when I was a news reporter. We were on location at the same time quite a bit. He was pleasant to be around and I had a lot of respect for him.
I ran into him fishing a couple of times below South Holston. A really friendly guy. Wish I had talked to him more when I crossed paths with him.
